We now have two ground mounted arrays and three rooftop schemes on community buildings. The map below shows the locations of our projects.
The Moorhouse Lane Solar Array is our first local community energy generation scheme. It consists of some 7,200 solar panels and will produce enough electricity for around 500 homes. It cost just over £2 million pounds which was raised through a community share offer in 2014. The project has been fully operational since April 2015. Read more about Moorhouse Lane Solar Array
Our second project is a 915 kW Solar Array at Ham Lane in Kingston Seymour (near Clevedon, North Somerset). The array has been fully operatonal since November 2015
Solarsense, our partner in the Moorhouse project, developed the project and secured a lease with the landowner and obtained planning consent. A second successful share offer was launched in May 2015 and raised £915,000 in just 6 weeks. Solarsense completed the installation and final testing and commissioning was carried out at the end of November 2015. Read more about Ham Lane Solar Array.
Just before the end of 2015 we installed our first three roof projects again with the help of Solarsense. Read more about our roof projects.
